About the tannery
Voznesensk tannery was put into operation in 1978.Industrial area of 22 hectares within the industrial zone of the town was taken for the tannery construction.
In 1991 a reconstruction of Voznesensk tannery was made that meant a complex replacing of existing equipment by new equipment. Contract for new equipment purchase including assembly was concluded with an Italian company “Promotan”. Total amount of the contract was USD 14 million 258 thousand.
End of 1992 was important for employers of Voznesensk tannery: a joint stock company “VOZKO” was formed on basis of previous tannery; more than 4 thousand people (employers, their family members and also many inhabitants of Voznesensk) became shareholders.
JSC «VOZKO» is specialized in production of shoe upper chrome leather. Capacity of the plant is 400 mln. square decimeters chrome leather per year. The tannery processes raw bovine hides with weight 25-30 kg. Drums loading is 4,5 thousand hides per 24 hours.
JSC «VOZKO» has an international quality system certificate ISO-9002, guaranteeing maximal satisfaction of customers’ requirements, saving our face in the occupied sales markets and ensuring stable quality of the products, applying of advanced technologies and modern methods of management.
We are one of the leading companies in the leather sector of Ukraine. Annually footwear manufacturers of Ukraine get more than 200 million square decimeters of leather; almost each fourth pair of shoes in our country is made from leather produced by JSC “VOZKO” In spite of some difficulties authorities of the company care about the prospects. Without stopping of the tannery we made its reconstruction, 90% of equipment was replaced that resulted in 30% production output increase, quality improvement and expanding of our articles range.
Products of JSC «VOZKO» are in great demand both in Ukraine and abroad. Quality of leather made by Voznesensk tanners are taken in consideration by many foreign companies - trendsetters of footwear.
